ST ANNE SASA HOSTS CYON AEC MEETING

ST ANNE MEDIA TEAM

The CYON Archdiocesan Executive Council (AEC) convened on May 18, 2025 at St Anne, Sasa to discuss crucial matters affecting the organization. The meeting provided a platform for deliberation, decision-making, and strategic planning.

The Parish Priest, Rev. Father Peter Ajeigbe addressed the Youth present. He titled his address “The Potential of Youth: Harnessing Energy for Positive Change.” He took his exhortation from Ecclesiastes 11: 9-10 “Rejoice, young man, in your youth, and let your heart be cheerful in the days of your youth. Walk in the ways of your heart and in the sight of your eyes; but know that for all these things God will bring you to judgement.” This verse underscores the importance of making the most of one’s youth while being mindful of one’s actions and their consequences.

Fr. Peter noted that young people are a vital component of the society, bringing with them energy, creativity and a fresh perspective. They have the potential to drive positive change and contribute to the betterment of their communities. Their potential is vast and multifaceted. By harnessing this energy, creativity and idealism, young people can drive positive change, contribute to their communities and lay the foundation for a brighter future for themselves and others. The Parish Priest finally wished the Youths present the best in their endeavors.

Also the religious present are the Chaplain, Fr. Emmanuel Eseola, the Assistant Chaplain I, Fr. Gabriel Azeez, the Assistant Chaplain II, Fr. Aime Bienvenue Laslaga, and the Co-Ordinator, Sr. Elizabeth Tadafe.

Agendas deliberated on are plans for upcoming events like Congress, youth rally, and youth harvest. There were also reports on past events like the Mojisola spelling bee competition, North Deanery CYON Picnic, etc.
