The Ibadan Archdiocesan Catholic Organization (AICWO) on Sunday 18th May celebrated its 2025 Harvest and World Union of Catholic Women's Organizations (WUCWO) Day with great enthusiasm. The event brought together Christian Mothers, Ladies of Knight St. Mulumba, and St. John.

The celebration began with a Mass at St. Gregory Catholic Church, Moniya, Ibadan, presided over by the Archbishop of Ibadan Archdiocese, Most Rev. Gabriel 'Leke Abegunrin, alongside AICWO Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Joseph Akinbinu, and host Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Anthony Ogunyale.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Akinbinu emphasized the vital role of women in families, encouraging them to prioritize their responsibilities and foster forgiveness, love, and generosity. Also, Archbishop Abegunrin urged the congregation to learn from one another, highlighting the importance of trust, proper use of contributions, and open communication through the pastoral council.

AICWO Vice President, Amb. Edith Isidahomen, representing the AICWO President, Lady Clara Yemi Oke, expressed gratitude to the Archbishop, Chaplain, host Parish Priest, and the guests. She highlighted the significance of the dual celebrations, noting that WUCWO Day is observed globally by the World Union of Catholic Women's Organizations.

Amb. Isidahomen also appealed for financial support for AICWO's pet project, the Santa Maria Retreat Centre. The celebration featured a raffle draw with prizes for winners and awards to Deaneries, parishes, and individuals who have supported AICWO. Harvest Chairperson Mrs. Ibironke Akinyemi delivered a vote of thanks.

The event concluded on a successful note, with attendees expressing gratitude to God for His blessings.
