The Catholic Men Organization (CMO) of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ilupeju, Bodija Expressway, Ibadan, Oyo state on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 swore in their newly elected Executive during the Eucharistic Celebration.

The new Officers are: Mr David-Mary Ikpherua – President; Dr Bamidele Ogunro - Vice-President; Mr David Olabi - General-Secretary; Mr Eric Adegunsoye - AGS; Mr Emmanuel Onaho – Treasurer; Mr Emmanuel Uche - Financial Sec; Mr Akan Bassey - PRO and Mr Chrisantus Makong – Provost; while Mr Christopher Ololo, immediate past Presidene is Ex-Officio 1 and Mr Anthony Babalola, immediate past Gen-Sec is Ex-Officio 2.

In the Homily of the day, the Parish Priest, Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Kayode Akinbinu encouraged the people to Pray, adore Christ in the Blessed Sacrament and detach themselves from worldly possessions so as to improve their relationship with God. That they should be committed to the service of God, His Holy Church and make quality inputs to the progress of humanity.

He charged the lay faithful to render service in the Parish and outside, deploy their time, talents and treasures to serve God and mankind since all our wisdom and possessions come from above and it is only right to use them for Him to appreciate His benevolence.

The Priest afterwards administered the "Oath of allegiance" on the new leaders and they all signed the document backing the oath of office they took. Fr Akinbinu then prayed for and blessed all of them and admonished them to be committed to the ideals of CMO and to lift up the organization to higher and greater heights to surpass the excellent records of the last executive.

The new President, Mr David-Mary Ikpherua prayed for God's wisdom and direction upon him and his team and appreciated the Parish Priest for his support and asked for the cooperation of his members and all parishioners.

The election was held on Sunday, August 3, 2025 and it was anchored by a three-man team of the AICMO President, Mr Felix Adoroh; AICMO General Secretary, Mr Anthony Agbons and CMO President of St Thomas Parish, Agbowo, Engr F.C.Ikem. The tenure of the new officers is expected to be a single term of four years.
