CAEAN Ibadan Archdiocese Holds Fitness Walk to Mark Feast of St. Francis De Sales

The Catholic Artistes and Entertainers Association of Nigeria (CAEAN), Ibadan Archdiocese, on Saturday 24 January, 2026, organized a Fitness Walk to commemorate the Feast of its Patron Saint, St. Francis De Sales, drawing active participation from members and leaders of the association.

The Fitness Walk, which commenced from Total Filling Station, Sango, Ibadan through the Mokola Roundabout and ended at St Gabriel Catholic Church Mokola, Ibadan formed part of activities aimed at promoting physical wellness, unity, and fellowship among Catholic artistes and entertainers, while deepening their commitment to serving God through their talents.

Among the dignitaries who actively participated in the walk were the CAEAN National Patron, Sir Kayode Williams; an Archdiocesan Patroness, Mrs Rebecca Nwankwo;  the CAEAN Provincial Coordinator, Ibadan Province, Mr. Raphael Osirim; and the CAEAN Ibadan Archdiocesan President, Mr. Festus Alademomi, alongside other members of the association.

At the end of the walk, participants engaged in a short physical exercise session, reinforcing the importance of healthy living. This was followed by the sharing of light refreshments, providing an atmosphere for relaxation, interaction, and bonding among members.

Speaking during the event, leaders of the association emphasized that the fitness walk was not only a health-driven initiative but also a symbolic expression of walking together in faith and unity, in line with the values exemplified by St. Francis de Sales.

The event concluded on a joyful note of music, with members expressing gratitude to God for a successful outing and reaffirming CAEAN’s mission of using arts and entertainment as instruments of evangelization within the Catholic Church and the wider society.

Also the Ibadan Archdiocese CAEAN participated in the 9 days Novena organized by National CAEAN as part of the celebration of the Feast of the Patron Saint of the association.
