The Blessed Tansi Solidarity Group of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Mokola, Ibadan, joyfully celebrated the Feast Day of Blessed Iwene Tansi with a spiritually uplifting programme that began with a nine-day novena and culminated in a grand Thanksgiving Holy Mass on Sunday, January 25, 2026.

The nine days of novena drew members of the Solidarity Group into deep moments of prayer, reflection, and renewed commitment to the virtues exemplified by Blessed Iwene Tansi — humility, obedience, selfless service, and unwavering faith. Each day provided an opportunity for members to strengthen their spiritual bond and recommit themselves to Christian living and apostolic service within the Church and the wider community.

The climax of the celebration was the Thanksgiving  held at the 9am Mass on Sunday, January 25, 2026, which attracted members of the parish community, friends of the group, and invited guests. The Group was honoured by the presence of it Leader and Founder, Sir Hilary Ofoma, KSM, whose attendance added dignity and encouragement to the celebration. His words of support and exemplary Christian witness inspired members to remain steadfast in their devotion and service to God and humanity.

In his address, the Coordinator of the Blessed Tansi Solidarity Group, Mr. F. I. Charles Onyeaghala, expressed profound gratitude to all members for their dedication and active participation throughout the nine days of novena and the Thanksgiving Mass.

Mr. Onyeaghala further prayed for God’s continued blessings upon the group and expressed his earnest desire that the Blessed Tansi Solidarity Group would expand to all parishes within the Archdiocese, thereby fostering deeper spirituality, unity, and evangelization among the faithful.

The celebration ended on a joyful note, with members reaffirming their resolve to live out the virtues of Blessed Iwene Tansi in their daily lives and to remain instruments of peace, service, and Christian witness in the Church and society.

The Feast Day celebration at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Mokola, stands as a testimony to the growing devotion to Blessed Iwene Tansi and the enduring commitment of the faithful to spiritual growth and communal solidarity.
