MRS. OLAIYA OLAMIPO ANNE ELECTED PRESIDENT OF CWO, ST. GABRIEL MOKOLA

The Catholic Women Organization (CWO) of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Mokola, has elected Mrs. Olaiya Olamipo Anne as its new President to lead the women’s body in the parish for the next four years.
The election took place during the organization’s general meeting held on Sunday, March 8, 2026. The process was conducted by the Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. JohnPaul Aninwodo, and the Parish Sr. Adviser, Rev. Sr. Vivian Ajuonuma SSL, with the support of representatives from the Archdiocese and Mokola Deanery, including Mrs. Victoria Akinwalere, Mrs. Veronica Adeniran, and Princess C. U. Abiola.
Prior to the election, the outgoing President, Mrs. Patricia Fadimu, presented her stewardship report highlighting the activities and achievements of the Parish CWO during her tenure, including her involvement at both the Archdiocesan and Deanery levels. The report was unanimously adopted, as members commended Mrs. Fadimu for her dedication and selfless service toward the growth of the organization in the parish.
In her address, Rev. Sr. Vivian Ajuonuma, SSL, encouraged members, particularly younger women, to actively participate in Church leadership. She emphasized that service in the Church is not determined by age and urged them to always be ready to contribute meaningfully to the mission of the Church.
At the end of the election, the following members were elected to serve in various capacities
Mrs. Olaiya Olamipo Anne – President; Mrs. Ogbaki Vivian – Vice President I; Mrs. Olajide Olubusayo – Vice President II; Mrs. Okorowu Joy – Secretary; Mrs. Akerele Yetunde Anne – Assistant Secretary; Mrs. Solomon Evangeline – Treasurer; Mrs. Faith Erondu – Financial Secretary; Mrs. Oniseitan Esther – PRO I; Mrs. Senaya Florence Mojisola – PRO II; Mrs. Abiodun Elizabeth – Welfare Officer I; Mrs. Megbolu – Welfare Officer I;, Mrs. Nwagu Susan – Welfare Officer III; Mrs. Patricia Fadimu – Ex-Officio I and Mrs. Nsabe Mary – Ex-Officio II.
In his remarks, Rev. Fr. JohnPaul Aninwodo congratulated the women of the parish for their active participation in the election process. He also expressed gratitude to the outgoing President, Mrs. Patricia Fadimu, for her dedicated service and congratulated Mrs. Olaiya Olamipo Anne on her emergence as the new President.
Similarly, the Archdiocesan AICWO Secretary, Mrs. Victoria Akinwalere, commended the women of St. Gabriel Mokola for successfully conducting the election and ensuring a smooth leadership transition. She encouraged members to give their full support to the new executive and continue the good works established by the outgoing administration.
In her acceptance speech, the newly elected President, Mrs. Olaiya Olamipo Anne, thanked God for the successful conduct of the election. She expressed appreciation to the Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. JohnPaul Aninwodo, the Parish Sr. Adviser, Rev. Sr. Vivian Ajuonuma, SSL, as well as the Archdiocesan and Deanery officials who supported the process. She called on all members to cooperate with the new executive as they work together to advance the mission and activities of the Catholic Women Organization in the parish.
