ST FRANCIS CATH. CHURCH CELEBRATES MOTHERS DAY WITH EXUBERANT JOY.

The special event took place on April 19, 2026 at St Francis Catholic Church, Sanyo-Soka, Ibadan like never before. The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Adeyemo started it all as he welcomed all the attendees with a beam of hope and joy when he saw all the Mothers in their CWO attire. Then he said joyfully, “Today is a special day in the whole world for our women, our mothers! May God continue to bless them: they are pillars in their families and no building can stand without good pillar!  We should appreciate them at all times.”

During his homily, he made all to understand how Cleopas and his friend left for Emmaus and encountered Jesus on their way and had to return to reunite with the other disciples after recognizing Jesus at the breaking of the Bread. We too are expected to recognize Jesus at the breaking of the Bread and follow Him. We should value Jesus and make effort to be like Him.

When it was time to celebrate the Mothers, the women made all to dance as the Choristers elevated them with special songs. Both men and children treated them as SWEET MOTHERS and danced with exuberant joy such that nobody wanted to stop for any reason until they were tired. In appreciation, the men donated generously to show how much they value the mothers.

Mrs Morah Chike, the President, on behalf of CWO expressed her gratitude to all and sundry, who were present at the occasion.

Surprisingly, the mothers offered everyone present with refreshment. As usual, everybody was smiling as they all left for home.
