CAN UNIVERSAL ANNUAL WEEK OF PRAYER HOLDS IN ONA- ARA BRANCH.
The concluding prayer to end Christians Association of Nigeria (CAN) Ona Ara , annual week of prayer was held on Sunday 9th of February 2025 at St. Anne Catholic Church, Ogbere, Ibadan. This happened after the zones under CAN have observed it in their various zones.
The program began with an opening prayer led by ONA ARA CAN General Secretary, Rev. Clement Oluseyi Makinde at 4:30pm after which, St. Anne Catholic Church Choir led all into praise and worship songs as well as hymnal song taken from Catholic hymn book 394, "To God be the Glory " . The intersesory prayer of thanksgiving was led by Evang. Mrs Adeboye. The CAN Secretary, did the introduction of those present in the absence of ONA ARA CAN Coordinator, Rev. Fr. Stephen Balogun .
The Bible reading for the program was read by CAN Ona Ara Patroness, Mrs Abiodun Lawal, from the Gospel of Luke 9:28-36. Pastor Francis Ogungbenle also led all into intersesory prayer.
The special number was taken by St Anne Catholic Church Choir. Titled "Ipin temi daraju" . Pastor Aderemi Oyesiji, from Zone 18, gave exhortation based on the Bible reading of the day, titled: "The glory and power of God". He made all to understand that, the glory of God in one's life is the way we live our lifes in every aspect, and that as a child of God, we should always allow the spirit of God to lead and guide us in everything we do, since if we have the spirit of God in our heart, there, the power and Glory of God dwell.
Pastor Olayinka From Zone18 led all into prayer for CAN at all levels, prayer for the Excos and everyone present, after which, the CAN Secretary made some announcements and appreciated everyone present especially the Host Church for their accommodation and hospitality always. The event was concluded with closing prayer by MSE. Samson and the grace of God was shared by Adeogun from Zone 42. at 6pm.
