The Catholic Women Organization (CWO), of Our Lady of Perpetual Light Chapel (OLPLC), of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), held her Annual General Meeting (AGM), on Sunday 16th February, 2025.

The AGM was chaired by Mrs Dorothy E. Salami. The President of the organization, Prof. (Mrs). Salami, welcomed the Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Michael Akinsode, members of the organization and all other invited guests. She thanked the members for the cooperation she and the executives members enjoyed from them. She also appreciated the executive members for oneness and togetherness they exhibited, which really helped in running the affairs of the organization smoothly.

The Deanery President, Mrs E. O Faremi, thanked the members and the executives especially the President Prof. (Mrs) Salami and the Gen. Sec. Dr. (Mrs) J. O. Nwaezeigwe for their activeness at the Deanery level. She also encouraged everyone to persist and carry on with the good work and that God will bless them and grant their heart desires.

The executive was dissolved by the meeting Chairperson, Mrs D. E. Salami and election was conducted to usher in new leaders. The following individuals were elected to see to the affairs of the organization as follow: President; Dr. (Mrs) B. U. Egwu; Vice President, Prof (Mrs) Orisadare; General Secretary, Dr (Mrs) L. C. Umeh; Asst. General Secretary, Dr (Mrs) Tchokosaa; Financial Secretary, Mrs Ugi; Treasurer, Mrs Okoroafor; Public Relation Officer I, Mrs Adejumo; Public Relation Officer II, Mrs Patrick; Welfare Officer I, Mrs Igboanugo; Welfare Officer II, Dr (Mrs) Adumah; Ex-Officio, Dr (Mrs) J. O. Nwaezeigwe.

The Chaplain, Rev. Fr. Michael Akinsode, thanked every member and the out-gone executives for how they discharged their duties, he also welcomed the newly elected executives and promised to be available to them whenever he's needed.

Representatives of Catholic Men Organization, Mr V. Igboanugo; Catholic Youth Organization, Mr Bolu Famokunwa and Nigeria Federation of Catholic Students, Mr Emmanuel Peter, all appreciated the CWO members for all they have been doing to ensure that the Church is moving on smoothly.
