Rev. Sr. Esther Amowe of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit (DHS) Congregation   celebrated her Silver Jubilee this year and received a resounding ovation during her send-off at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Ota, Ogun State Abeokuta Diocese on Sunday, March 30, 2025. She was posted to the parish in 2022 and has now been transferred to Ibadan, the Oyo State Capital.

Speaking of her experience at St. Peter's Ota, Sr. Esther who is a licensed Counselling Psychologist said: 'My experience in Ota was like what I will call being present like yeast in the dough. A gentle presence. The people of Ota Parish are lovely and vibrant. Many of them are very devoted to the Church activities and supportive, although we have some funny individuals but in all I had a great time of serving God and his people among them'.

Continuing, Sr.  Esther said: 'I spent more time listening to the young people and accompanying them, basically counselling them. I also listened to some family issues with the support of my Sisters and the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Clement Ajibola Ashade.’

Fr.  Ashade thanked her for her immense contributions to the parish and wished her success in her future endeavors.
