On Saturday, August 2, 2025, St. Rita Catholic Church Olowu, Igangan witnessed a beautiful celebration as five couples embarked on their journey of holy matrimony. The ceremony, officiated by Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Victor Ugbor, was a testament to the love and commitment of the couples.

The Church was packed to capacity as family, friends, and parishioners gathered to witness the union of the five couples. The atmosphere was filled with joy, love, and anticipation as the couples prepared to exchange their vows. Fr. Callistus Afolabi delivered a heartfelt homily, emphasizing the importance of love in marriage and the need for couples to pray together. His words of wisdom resonated with the newlyweds and the congregation, reminding them of the significance of their commitment to each other.

The homily was a beautiful reflection on the sacrament of marriage, highlighting the importance of communication, trust, and mutual support in building a strong and lasting relationship. Fr. The five couples who tied the knot were:

Mr. and Mrs. Joel Adegoke; Mr. and Mrs. Samson Adegoke; Mr. and Mrs. John Omoyoriola; Mr. and Mrs. Augustine Ogunrinu and Mr. and Mrs. Samson Oguntoyinbo.

After the Homily, the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Victor Ugbor, took the consent of the couples and witnessed their signatures on their marriage certificate. In his closing remarks, he expressed gratitude to Fr. Callistus Afolabi, for delivering a beautiful homily that highlighted the importance of love and prayer in marriage. And for his inspiring words, which would surely guide the newlyweds in their journey together.

Fr. Ugbor also appreciated the Marriage Class Instructors, for their dedication and guidance in preparing the couples for this momentous occasion; Sponsors and Well-Wishers: For their support and generosity; Parishioners of St. Rita and St. Anne's Igangan for their presence and participation and Family and Friends for their love and support.

The celebration continued within the Church compound, where everyone was entertained, and the newlyweds were showered with love and congratulations. The atmosphere was filled with music, laughter, and joy, as the couples celebrated their new life together.
