The Board of Church Wardens, Bodija Deanery, Archdiocese of Ibadan, has elected a new executive on August 2, 2025, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ilupeju, Ibadan, to pilot the affairs of the Board in the Deanery.

 

The elections had in attendance, representatives from seven parishes, out of the eight that make up the Deanery.

 

The parishes present were Church of the Ascension, Bodija; Sacred Heart, Ilupeju; Seat of Wisdom, University of Ibadan; St. Gregory, Moniya; St. Augustine, Ojoo; St. Martin de Porres, Ajobo; and St. Thomas, Agbowo.

 

The elections ushered in the following officers: Mr. Michael Arasanmi - President, Seat of Wisdom, UI; Miss. Angela Otseke - Vice President, St. Martin de Porres, Ajobo; Mr. Magnus Ezeh - Secretary, St. Augustine, Ojoo; Miss. Immaculata Ikpherua - Assistant Secretary, Sacred Heart, Ilupeju; Mrs. Sabinah Omotosho - Treasurer, St. Thomas, Agbowo; Miss. Veronica Ilechie - Financial Secretary, Church of the Ascension, Bodija; Mrs. T. A. Ojo - Public Relations Officer, Sacred Heart, Ilupeju; and Mrs. Comfort Soyinka - Welfare Officer, St. Gregory, Moniya

 

The Dean, Rev. Fr. Joseph Akinbinu, congratulated the newly-elected officers and admonished them to live up to expectations, urging all to support them.

 

The Dean also announced the name of the Chaplain for the Deanery’s Board of Wardens as Rev. Fr. Peter Jemibor, as he prayed for all at the occasion.
