
ST ANNE, SASA HOLDS SEND OFF CEREMONY FOR SEMINARIAN

As St. Anne Sasa bids farewell to one of our seminarians, we honour not only their personal journey, but also the profound commitment that defines their path. It is common knowledge that the life of a seminarian is one of rigorous study, spiritual discipline and unwavering dedication to the service of others while going through years of formation and discernment. Bearing that in mind, St. Anne, Sasa hold a send-off ceremony for Brother Okorowu Martins Tochukwu on August 31, 2025.
During Mass, parishioners of St. Anne, Sasa joined Brother Okorowu Martins Tochukwu in thanksgiving to God for the successful completion of his pastoral work in the parish. Afterwards, the parishioners of St. Anne, Sasa assembled at the hall for a ceremony and presentation of gift to the Seminarian.
Representatives of the different organs of the Church came forth to encourage the Seminarian and give him words of exhortation. The representative of CMO, Prince Ogundele, admitted the fact that the journey of a Seminarian is not easy. He advised the Seminarian to keep putting in maximum effort with hard work and perseverance. Mrs Olanrewaju, the representative of CWO, showered the Seminarian with prayers, while Mr Victor Olanrewaju, the CYON representative, admonished the Seminarian to be patient and persevering.
A gift was presented to Brother Okorowu Martins Tochukwu by the Vocation Committee of the parish, on behalf of St Anne, Sasa.
On a final note, The Seminarian, Brother Martins, expressed his gratitude to the community of St Anne, Sasa. He mentioned that his 2 months stay in the parish was an amazing experience for him. And he assured the parishioners that their words of encouragement and advice would always abide by him.
