Programmes for Jubilee of Education Announced.

The Archdiocesan Education Committee has announced programmes for the Jubilee of Education in the Archdiocese.

According to the statement obtained by the Catholic Weekly Independent, there will be an opening Mass by 10am (to be attended by the Management and Student representatives) at the Church of the Ascension, Bodija, Ibadan on Friday 10th October 2025 to be celebrated by the Archbishop, while the parish priest shall be the homilist.

Inaugural Lecture with the Theme: “Education, Common Belonging and Shared Destiny: The Role of Catholic Schools in the Saving Mission of Christ.” takes place immediately after Mass at the Church hall by Prof. Isaac Ukpokolo by12noon.

 

On Friday, 24 October, 2026; Seminar on the “Revised Curriculum for Primary /Secondary Schools, Curriculum on Entrepreneurship and CBT (WAEC) 2026” will be presented by Rev. Fr. Felix-Kingsley Obialo and Mr. Charles Akinwolere, Education Consultant at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Mokola, Ibadan by 9am Prompt. The audience are Students (representatives), Teaching Staff, Administrators and Management.

 

Closing Mass, Teachers' Day Celebration/Award of Excellence comes up on Friday, 31st October, 2025 by 10:00am prompt at St. Theresa Minor Seminary, Oke Are, Ibadan.

The Archdiocesan Education Committee added that additional information will be provided soon, as it urges all hands to be on deck.
