The 2026 Laity quiz competition of St. Francis Catholic Church Sanyo-Soka Ibadan was conducted on the 18th of January, 2026.

The quiz competition was held in the Church immediately after the Sunday Mass in a grand style. The parish priest himself (Rev. Fr. Jude Adeyemo) was the Quiz Master. He conducted the quiz competition being assisted by the parish Laity officials and the catechist in the full glare of the wonderful parishioners. Contestants in the Quiz at St. Francis Catholic Church Sanyo-Soka, Ibadan included Francis Ochayi Audu, Elvis Owoichoechi Edoh, Felicity Ochanya Audu, Edward Onyilo Edoh, Emmanuela Ehi Matthew and Immaculate Kamsi Chinonye.

All the contestants did very well and prizes were given to the best three: Francis Ochayi Audu, Elvis Owoichoechi Edoh, and Felicity Ochanya Audu who will now represent the parish at the Deanery level.

With the enthusiasm, vibrancy, and great insight to which these young Catholics competed, we can confidently say that the future of the Church is guaranteed with our youth.

In his remarks, the Laity President Bro. Agorye Pius Ikashi (KSM) congratulated the contestants describing them as winners. He promised that the Church will be with them as they continue to the next level. He thanked the parish priest, the prizes donors, and all the faithfuls for their unwavering support.
