HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH IKIRE ELECTS NEW CYON EXECUTIVE.

The Youth Organization of Holy Cross Catholic Church, Ikire held her executives’ election on Sunday, 11th January, 2026, immediately after the Holy Mass, within the Church premises.

 

The election was conducted in a peaceful, orderly, and transparent atmosphere, with youths turning out in appreciable numbers to participate in the exercise. Proceedings began with an opening prayer, followed by the rendition of the Youth Anthem. This was succeeded by a welcome address and the introduction of old and newly registered members, fostering unity and inclusiveness among participants.

 

Thereafter, electoral guidelines were explained, and voting commenced under the supervision of designated officials. Votes were openly cast and counted to ensure fairness and credibility. At the end of the exercise, the following officers emerged to lead the youth body for the new tenure: Ayoola Samuel (President); Fidelis Francis (Vice President); Egbetade Praise (Secretary); Adetoye Agnes (Assistant Secretary); Ayoola Dharasimi (Financial Secretary); Olaoye Anthonia and Akinola Paschaline (Welfare Officers); Michael Durotoye (Treasurer); Umukoro Esther (Liturgical Director); Awoyera Matthew (Sport Director); Ikechukwu Emmanuel and Anthony Precious (Social Directors); while Umukoro Esther and Idowu Anthony emerged as Public Relations Officers I and II respectively.

 

In his remarks, the outgoing Youth President expressed gratitude to God and appreciated the parish leadership and youth members for their support throughout his tenure. He congratulated the newly elected executives and urged the youths to give them maximum cooperation.

 

The newly elected President thanked members for the confidence reposed in the new leadership and promised to serve with humility and dedication. The election ended with a closing prayer, followed by the Youth Anthem and group photographs.
