Message by AICWO President on Mothers’ Day Celebration.
Dear beloved Mothers and Sisters in Christ, Grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
With hearts full of gratitude to God, I address you today on the beautiful and profound theme: “Women, indispensable collaborators in the mission of the Church.” Indeed, from the time of Christ until now, women have remained faithful partners in God’s vineyard; serving, nurturing, evangelising, and sustaining the life of the Church.
We remember with deep reverence the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose “Yes” opened the door to our salvation, and the holy women who stood by Christ even at the foot of the Cross and were the first witnesses of the Resurrection. In the same spirit, you, our dear mothers and sisters continue to carry the mission of the Church forward in your families, parishes, and communities.
Your prayers uphold the Church. Your sacrifices strengthen the faith of generations. Your love and dedication bring the Gospel alive in everyday life. Truly, without you, the mission of the Church would be incomplete.
I encourage you, dear mothers, to remain steadfast in faith, united in love, and committed to service. Do not grow weary in doing good, for the Lord who sees your labour of love will reward you abundantly. Continue to be instruments of peace, vessels of hope, and shining lights in a world that so desperately needs Christ.
Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will continually guide and empower you, that your homes may be filled with God’s presence, and that your lives may bear fruits that will endure.
May the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary strengthen you. May God bless the work of your hands, grant you good health, and fill your hearts with His peace and joy, now and always. Amen.
Yours in Christ,
Lady C.Y Oke
