On June 13, 2026 St. Francis Catholic Church, Sanyo-Soka, Ibadan was agog with joy as parishioners gathered to celebrate The Immaculate Heart of Our Mother, Mary, St. Anthony of Padua and the Baptism of Pricilla Ahamisi. 

    The Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Jude Adeyemo welcomed all the attendees as usual and during the homily, he drew their attention to the importance of Our Blessed Mother Mary who humbly accepted her calling wholeheartedly with faith and trust even when she did not understand the Mission. He encouraged all present to learn from her as he made references to her Support for the wedded couple at Canaan and the finding of the Child Jesus at the Temple. As he spoke more on Mother Mary’s enviable virtues, the attendees were overjoyed and happy to be partakers at the ceremony.

   The position of St. Anthony of Padua and Lisbon in the Catholic Church brought about by his Spiritual Gifts and virtues were analyzed to the joy of both members and non-members of his society by the homilist. This elaborate analysis influenced both members and non-members of the society to be joyous about the Saint’s achievements.

  The third stage was the baptism of Pricilla Ahamisi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Godwin Ahamisi. Throughout this section, her parents and sponsors were seen smiling and joyous as other attendees rejoiced with them for the achievement.

  Towards the end of the triple feasts, photographs were taken and the President of the society of St. Anthony of Padua, Mr. Gabriel Ajirotutu thanked all present. June 13, 2026 is a day members of St. Francis Catholic Church, Sanyo-Soka, Ibadan will not easily forget! We give Glory to Almighty God in Jesus’ Name!
