The new head of Agbo Ile Oni-Esu, Adamasingba, Ibadan to act as direct bridge between his extended family and the Olubadan Palace, Comrade Cosmas Olalekan Oni of the Oni-Esu family was elevated to Mogaji’s status while his wife has also been elevated to Olori Veronica Omowumi Oni; by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja ARUSA 1 on Saturday, Agusut 1, 2026 at Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The installation by the Olubadan will among other things enable him to work for the peace, welfare, development and cultural traditions of the compound. Hence, his Comrade Hat has now been replaced with the Chieftaincy Crown of Mogaji.

     The New Mogaji deserves this unique status for he is known for his humility, loyalty, community-conscious gentleman, dependable, diligent, astute commitment and steadfastness. 

     On August 1, 2026 the Adamasingba Stadium was agog with celebrations in the presence of prominent guests from near and far and all attendees were joyous as they danced and smiled all through till late in the evening.

    St. Francis Catholic Church, Sanyo-Soka was not left out of this unique celebration as on August 2, 2026 all the parishioners danced and laughed as the New Mogaji and Olori came for a special thanksgiving.

Parishioners of St. Francis Catholic Church, Sanyo-Soka Ibadan will not easily forget this August Thanksgiving! We give God all the glory in Jesus’ mighty Name!
